The Pressure Is On
Searching for college, filling out all the forms and selecting your choice is a daunting process. This is probably one of the biggest decisions you've made in your life. But you have help. God is with you. Going through the process is more important than the final result. The reason God just doesn't hand us an envelope with the answer to where we should go is because he wants to draw us closer to him through the process. Pray, spend time with Him, search and trust that he will lead you.

In addition to talking with God try talking with your parents. They might be the ones paying for your college, so spend some time listening to their concerns. You may not agree on everything, but have you done a good job of listening and communicating with them? Schedule an evening to get out of the house with your parents and sit down and have a mature conversation about your future.

Also, please use the resources available here at FCHS. The following web pages have lots of valuable information. Your teachers are also a good place to go for help. I am excited to work with students as they go through the college decision process. One of the main reasons I came to FCHS is to work closely with you to help you prepare for your future. God has gifted all of you with many talents. I pray that we seek Him through this process.

In His Peace,
Jon Endicott
